The Colorado State Patrol is pleased to announce the start of our Distracted Driving campaign. At the beginning of 2015, the CSP made the internal announcement that Distracted Driving will be the focus of our efforts throughout the year. Through a grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation, the CSP will strictly enforce the no texting law as well as focus on other distracted driving behaviors. Beginning today and continuing through Sunday night, motorists will see an increase in CSP patrols looking for distracted driving behaviors. In Colorado, any driver under the age of 18 is prohibited from using a telephone while operating a motor vehicle. Any driver is prohibited from texting while operating a motor vehicle.
